Free magenta from the evil minds at T-Mobile

T-Mobile tried to patent the color magenta, preventing other companies from using it in their branding. Thus freemagenta.nl (Dutch) was born. Designers across the globe sent their design and quotes to protest against this nonsense.

Some funny quotes translated from freemagenta.nl:

  • “By claiming a color, you prevent everyone from having a colorful existence” -
  • “Claiming a color is nonsense, colors belong to God” -

I also sent my concerns.  My work also got published in a small book which can be ordered from freemagenta.nl

Do Colors Make the World Go Round?

Do Colors Make the World Go 'Round?

Luckily the deal didn’t went on. Bad companies..
